Bird Monitoring

Working Woodlands Workshop
Saturday, May 25th 2019, 8am-11am
The NPS Northeast Temperate Network has been monitoring bird populations in the park since 2006. Come learn about how this volunteer program is done, as well as some of the findings revealed by the monitoring. We’ll also learn how to identify the songs of some of the common birds of the park’s forest and then head out for a walk around the park to look and listen for birds. Bring binoculars and your questions!
A limited number of binoculars will be available for loan. Please dress appropriately for extended outdoor activity. Co-sponsored by Vermont Coverts and the Vermont Woodlands Association.
