Saying Goodbye to Elize Orne!
This month, we’re bidding a fond farewell to Eliza, our Landowner Outreach Specialist, whose thoughtful presence, steady commitment, and deep care for Vermont’s forests have left an indelible mark on the Vermont Woodlands Association community.
Eliza has been a vital part of our work to connect and support woodland owners across the state. From organizing events and sharing resources to building meaningful relationships with landowners, her work has helped advance our mission in so many tangible ways.
As she steps into her next chapter, Eliza shared this message with us:
“Dear VWA Community,
As I step away from my role as Landowner Outreach Specialist, I want to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for the time I’ve spent with the VWA community. It has been a true privilege to work alongside so many dedicated individuals who care so deeply about Vermont’s woodlands and the people who steward them. Though my path is taking me in a new direction, I have great respect for VWA’s mission and the work that supports our forests and their stewards. I look forward to seeing the organization thrive and hope our paths cross again.
Thank you for welcoming me into this community. I’ll be cheering on all your work in stewarding Vermont’s forests for years!”
We are so grateful for all Eliza has brought to VWA and know she’ll continue to do great things wherever she goes. Please join us in thanking her for her time with us and wishing her all the best in her next adventure!
