VWA Quarterly Newsletter

A Voice for Healthy Forests! published four times each year is a joint newsletter of Vermont Woodlands and Vermont Tree Farm. It’s really more like a magazine than a newsletter, printed in full color and filled with articles of interest. The publication includes regular features from our President and Executive Director. Other regular contributors come from VT Dept. of Forests, Parks and Recreation with updates on forest health and invasive species, Audubon VT discussing birds and other wildlife, the Vermont Tree Farm Committee sharing news from the national stage, book reviews, plus inspector and tree farmer recognition. Each issue is filled with beautiful color photos as well and delivered direct to your mailbox in March, June, September, and December.

Filled with feature articles from members, tree farmers, partners, and professionals.

How can you ensure that you receive this beautiful quarterly magazine? Support Vermont Woodlands with a membership to receive this publication and so much more.

We are always looking for new contributors with stories to tell. If you have something to say about your land stewardship… and can say it in about 750 words… we’d like to hear it. Photography is also welcome! Photos may be used in print or online. Submit your articles and photos via email and be sure to include author, photographer, and caption.

Northern Woodlands Magazine

Northern Woodlands, a quarterly magazine, celebrates northeastern forests and the people who care for them. A fun read with a serious purpose, it’s published by the Center for Northern Woodlands Education, an educational nonprofit located in Lyme, New Hampshire. Its mission: to advance culture of forest stewardship in the Northeast and to increase understanding of and appreciation for the natural wonders, economic productivity, and ecological integrity of the region’s forests. We are pleased to be a long-time partner of Northern Woodlands and grateful that we can offer this fabulous magazine to our members, with our compliments.

Vermont Woodlands Association members in good standing receive this quarterly publication as our thank you!

We congratulate Northern Woodlands on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the magazine. That’s a generation of readers who have devoted their time, talents, and resources to our educational mission. Northern Woodlands has inspired many people to learn about the woods and fostered a community defined by its curiosity, civility, and love for the woods we all share.’

In celebration, Northern Woodlands has launched The Resilient Forest series – please check it out and feel free to share with others.
