Recently I hosted a “Butterfly Count” on our Tree Farm on the south side of Mt. Cube in Orford, NH. George DeWolf, from Wentworth, is the coordinator of the only butterfly count held in New Hampshire that reports data to the North American Butterfly Association (NABA.org). He was particularly interested in obtaining access to our property because it gave counters access to butterfly habitat above 2000 feet.

I had the pleasure of spending the day with this group, catching, observing, recording and then releasing many different butterflies. As an amateur photographer for years I have enjoyed photographing these beautiful butterflies on our Tree Farm along with other wildlife and using them on my Tree Farm cards.
