Join Ali Kosiba, UVM Extension Assistant Professor of Forestry, on a Woods Walk to learn about climate-adaptive management strategies you can take to reduce vulnerabilities and increase resilience to climate change. We’ll look at common conditions in Vermont’s forests that may pose issues in a changing climate and talk about options you could take to help the forest be better adapted in the future. The Walk will not be fast paced or cover a long distance, but please be prepared to be outside the whole time and potentially walking off trail. Participants will receive a copy of a new resource for landowners by VFPR, VWA, and UVM Extension: 12 Steps to Climate Resilience.
