Consulting Foresters

Although all foresters are licensed, we believe that our consultants are a very special subset of licensed foresters. That’s because you work with woodland owners in identifying and achieving goals for their woodlands and are committed to promoting and strengthening the long-term conservation and management of Vermont’s forests.   If you share this commitment, want to access continuing education, and meet engaged landowners, send your VWA Licensed Consulting Forester application today.

Why Join?

We encourage our landowner members to work with a consulting forester in managing their woods, to establish long-term relationships with their forester, and to maintain good communication with their forester. We seek to inform landowners of the services consultants offer for forest products, wildlife habitat, recreation, water resources, aesthetics, and other values.

As a benefit of membership as a Vermont Woodlands Consulting Forester, you’ll be listed in our Consulting Forester Directory that is regularly updated, posted on our website, distributed at shows and events, and sent to town clerks. You’ll appear in our ads for consulting foresters that can be found in Northern Woodlands Magazine and the Vermont Woodlands and Tree Farm newsletter.
